MiCOM Labs offers interoperability testing for wireless devices through its partner TUV Rheinland of North America to the industry association requirements of the Wi-Fi Alliance, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group and the ZigBee Alliance.
TUV is appointed by the Wi-Fi alliance to perform Wi-Fi Alliance testing and certification. The scope includes Wi-Fi products based on IEEE radio standards: 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g in single, dual-mode (802.11b and 802.11g) or multi-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) products; Wi-Fi wireless network security: WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access), WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access 2), and Extended EAP (Extensible Authentication Protocol); and Support for multimedia content over Wi-Fi networks: WMM (Wi-Fi Multimedia).
TUV is a testing body officially appointed by the ZigBee Alliance to develop and implement the qualification and certification of ZigBee products. TUV is extensively involved in the development of all ZigBee testing and specifications and methods.
TUV is both an experienced Bluetooth Qualification Body (BQB) and Bluetooth Qualification Test Facility (BQTF). TUV's scope covers both radio conformance testing and protocol and profile conformance testing.
