MiCOM Labs provides regulatory safety testing for wireless devices through its partner TUV Rheinland of North America via the CB Scheme (IECEE 01). We can provide you with a single CB Test Report and Certificate recognized by more than 40 participating countries. When national standards are not completely harmonized with IEC standards, declared national differences will be considered.
The CB Scheme is based on the principle of mutual recognition by means of certification through the use of internationally accepted safety standards (radios fall under EN 60950-1 for IT and office equipment). By virtually eliminating duplicate testing, the CB Scheme facilitates the international exchange and acceptance of product safety results among participating laboratories, otherwise known as National Certification Bodies (NCBs).
Manufacturers only need a single CB Test Report and Certificate to prove their products comply with the relevant international standard. Manufacturers who use the CB Scheme to obtain international product certification can significantly reduce the cost, effort and time involved in obtaining these approvals.
