Located in the Greater Bay Area of San Francisco, MiCOM Labs, Inc., is an aggressive ISO 17025 and ISO Guide 65 accredited test and certification laboratory providing consulting, product testing, and compliance certification services to wireless technology and telecommunication companies around the world.
MiCOM Labs engineering team is seeking an experienced senior RF/EMC test engineer / Technical Manager for the effective technical direction and management of the Compliance Testing Department. Principle Responsibilities:
- Lead technically diverse compliance test team and be accountable for the performance of the compliance testing organization
- Work with executive team to develop long-term goals and objectives to establish MiCOM Labs as a leader in compliance testing. And implement development strategies
- Drive new test development, creation of new processes and automation of current ones
- Use independent judgment and decision making skills to test new technologies and features
- Provide technical leadership and management to maintain a high level of technical excellence, innovation and continuous improvement in the compliance testing area in line with company accreditation processes and procedures
- Interface with sales and project management on a daily basis to ensure effective execution of projects
- Excellent communicator and client advocate capable of understanding and addressing client’s needs.
Required Skills
- Associates degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent
- 5+ years of compliance testing experience preferably within wireless and EMC development programs, with a track record as a tactical contributor
- Experience with different wireless technologies together with an understanding of safety test techniques is an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience of laboratory accreditation processes
- Demonstrated ability to meet project schedules and program deadlines.
- Understands the business commitments of compliance testing.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to project a positive company image when meeting with technical and non-technical customers.
Preferred Skills
- 2-3 years in a management position driving compliance management / technical product delivery teams
- Leadership and experience as a motivator and strategic decision maker

Must be able to implement, refine and adjust the priorities as required. Be flexible, quick to learn and adaptable. Will bring creative new ideas and power to influence their peer group and the technical team.
