Radio Frequency Identification Devices have many applications for tracking assets or people. Operating frequencies are 135 KHz, 13.56 MHz, 2.45 GHz, 5.8 GHz, 860 to 930 MHz, and 433.92 MHz. The International Standards Organization has published interoperability standards ISO 18000. The most publicized application is for supply chain management promoted by EPCglobal Inc™ and the Electronic Product Code (EPC).
Another interesting application is being promoted by the Near Field Communications (NFC) Forum. The vision of the NFC Forum is to enable users of any handheld electronic device to access content and services in an intuitive way by simply touching smart objects and connecting devices just by holding them next to each other.
No matter what your application or frequency, MiCOM Labs can test and certify your RFID devices, readers and/or tags to all regulatory standards.
