Under USA / Asia-Pacific MRA process, MiCOM’s testing and reports are recognized by all participating countries.
In order to give our clients full global test and certification services, MiCOM has invested to become a fully Registered Certification Body for US (TCB), Canada (FCB), Europe (NB) and Japan (RCB). We can test and certify any device in house for these markets.
We have a worldwide network of partners that will assist in certifying your product globally. The majority of countries accept our FCC and EU report formats except those that require in-country testing.
If you wish to inquire about certain countries please contact email@example.com
We have the capability to test and certify a wide range of technologies for multiple markets.
Antenna pattern measurements is one of our growing areas of expertise providing 2D / 3D measurement data.
MiCOM is developing solutions to help shape the future of regulatory compliance. MiTest® was designed as an automated compliance test system delivering fully formatted test reports.

Clients are able to oversee testing, but we require some notice to accommodate client arrival.
MiCOM Labs is located in Pleasanton, California at 575 Boulder Court 94566 USA. Facility is over 20,000 sq. ft with emissions, immunity and antenna characterization chambers with multiple isolated test rooms for wireless conducted testing. Each area has key card access type security.
To create an estimate we will need product specifications including technology type (802.11 WiFi, Bluetooth, RFID, etc), frequencies of operation, number of power sources (ac/dc adapter, battery, etc) and antennas to be tested. We will also need the anticipated client markets.
In order to move forward with a project, the client must provide a purchase order (PO) for the full amount and before the test program begins we require pre-payment prior to testing. Once the PO is received we will provide an online product questionnaire to complete.
This questionnaire contains information not only critical to the testing of the project but to the final report. We also require an estimated date when the EUT (equipment under test) will be available.
For RF testing, we require a minimum of two units, one configured as a conducted unit complete with RF style flying lead if no connector is available. A secondary unit for radiated testing must be made available. Both units must be equipped with test code. Full operation code may also be required depending on testing program. Test setup procedure and accessories / connectors are MANDATORY. For EMC/EMI/Safety testing we require two functioning production units. Please inquire for more detailed information.
Testing will begin as soon as we have all necessary requirements in place, such as client PO, EUT(s), prepayment and the completed online product questionnaire. When received, the assigned project manager will be in contact to schedule test dates.
Test program completion times are subjective to the type of product and configuration types of the EUT and country(s) of interest. This is taken on a case by case basis.
Estimates are created with the assumption that there are no issues or failures with the program with the exception of some time for minor matters. Should there be failure(s), a PCA (Program Change Authorization), will be required which will be in addition to the cost of the original project. The client will be informed about details during the program.
Draft reports are released 2 weeks after testing is completed. The release of finalized reports is dependent on the speed of with which clients return report comments. The remainder of the project must be paid in full before reports are issued.
Documents must be uploaded into our CMS (Certification Management System) and all necessary documents must be filled out. Please keep in mind that certification may have different requirements in each market. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to get a better understanding of documentation requirements for your product(s).
This is dependent on the quality of documents provided and which markets are need certification. Once all files have been uploaded our reviewer will respond with comments (should this be required). After the review stage, the certifier will then issue the certificate.
Our CMS is a proprietary system created from the ground up by MiCOM Labs to ensure the certification process is as efficient as possible. It streamlines documentation handling while keeping everything encrypted in the cloud. Project status is automatically provided every step of the way during the process.
It is exclusive only to MiCOM Labs clients who will be provided with a secure username and login information.
